Coconut Cookies
Background:
my Great-Grandmother's family came from Germany to the United States. She was born not too long after in the state of Kentucky.

She later married to a baker (my Great-Grandfather). Through her experience in the bakery, she was able to create her own recipe, these coconut cookies! To her family, she only made them around Christmas time.
my Great-Grandmother passed down the recipe to my Grandmother.
​
She recently shared it with me to complete this project. Interestingly enough, choosing to make these cookies actually helped me learn more about my Great-Grandparents (and how to make these delicious cookies for my friends and I)!
